About the Journal

J Open: Special and Inclusive Education is an international, peer-reviewed, open access academic journal dedicated to advancing research and practice in the fields of special education and inclusive education. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to disseminate high-quality research findings, innovative practices, and theoretical developments that contribute to inclusive and equitable education systems worldwide.

The journal aims to promote the understanding and implementation of inclusive education by addressing the needs of learners with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and educational challenges. It welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and theoretical contributions that explore contemporary issues in special education, inclusive pedagogy, educational psychology, curriculum adaptation, teacher training, and educational policy.

Scope of the Journal

The journal focuses on a wide range of topics within the fields of special pedagogy and inclusive education. The journal covers theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of educating learners with disabilities and special educational needs.
 
It includes, but is not limited to, research on inclusive education policies, teaching methodologies, early intervention, curriculum adaptation, assistive technologies, teacher education, and educational management in inclusive environments.
 
The journal supports interdisciplinary research and promotes innovative approaches aimed at developing inclusive, equitable, and accessible education systems worldwide.

Indexing & Archiving

The journal is committed to achieving broad visibility and impact. It is actively working towards indexing in ScopusWeb of ScienceDOAJGoogle Scholar, and other leading academic databases.

The journal is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).
This service ensures long-term digital preservation of all published content by providing a decentralised and distributed archiving system. The PKP PN uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program to create permanent, secure, and recoverable backups of the journal.

In addition, authors are permitted to archive published versions of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, and other open-access archives without restrictions.
